THREE VOICES, ONE BASSIST
Electric Bass • Baby Bass • Upright Bass

Electric Bass
VERSATILITY, PRECISION, AND AN IDENTITY BUILT AROUND THE GROOVE.
The electric bass is my primary voice and the instrument at the center of much of my career as a session, recording, and touring musician. I perform naturally across salsa, Latin music, jazz, funk, pop, and contemporary styles, adapting my tone and musical language to the needs of each artist and production.
In the studio, I focus on precision, dynamics, and creating a bass sound that sits exactly where the song needs it. On stage, my priority is a solid foundation, energy, and a strong connection with the band. My approach can range from holding down a deep, understated pocket to developing melodic lines, syncopated figures, and more contemporary ideas when the music calls for them. To me, versatility is not about playing every style the same way it is about understanding the language of each genre and giving the music exactly what it needs.

Baby Bass
MY DEEPEST CONNECTION TO THE PULSE, TRADITION, AND SOUL OF LATIN MUSIC.
The Baby Bass holds a special place in my musical language. I perform extensively with it in salsa, son, mambo, bolero, and other Afro-Caribbean styles, where the bass does far more than support the harmony—it communicates with the percussion, drives the dance floor, and defines much of the music’s character.
My playing combines respect for the traditional language with a contemporary approach to tone and execution. I pay close attention to attack, note length, anticipations, and the interaction between bass, piano, and percussion to achieve the right balance of depth, clarity, and swing. Whether on stage or in the recording studio, my goal is to preserve the unmistakable character of the Baby Bass while bringing precision, personality, and authority to every performance.

Upright Bass
ACOUSTIC DEPTH, SENSITIVITY, AND A DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE MUSIC.
The upright bass represents the most organic side of my playing. I perform on it across jazz, Latin music, acoustic settings, and productions that call for a warmer, deeper, and more natural sound. Its physical response makes every detail essential—from intonation and articulation to dynamics, time, and expression.
My approach is always centered on intentional accompaniment. I can provide a solid and understated foundation, develop walking bass lines, explore Latin-rooted patterns, or add an acoustic texture that completely changes the character of a song. The upright bass allows me to combine sensitivity with strength while maintaining a deep connection to rhythm, harmony, and the musicians around me.
ARTISTIC JOURNEY
18 years of music, live performances, recording sessions, and collaborations have shaped a versatile musical identity deeply rooted in Latin music.
Throughout my career, I have developed as a session bassist, touring musician, and recording artist, performing on electric bass, baby bass, and upright bass across a wide range of musical styles.
My journey has given me the opportunity to share stages and projects with renowned Latin artists including Tony Succar, José Alberto “El Canario,” Tony Vega, Maelo Ruiz, Willy García, Jimmy Saa, Andy Montañez, Luigi Texidor, Luisito Carrión, Pichie Pérez, and Javier Vásquez, among others.
In the studio, I have contributed to recordings alongside artists such as Nino Segarra and Alex de Castro, and participated in the album “Quédate,” produced by Jhon Upegui and featuring artists including Isaac Delgado, Willy García, Habert Vargas, Nino Segarra, and Fernando Cancel. I also recorded the live DVD for Jimmy Saa and the bass tracks for an upcoming production by acclaimed Colombian musician and producer Alberto Barros.
From international performances and touring to studio sessions and special projects, every experience has helped define my musical voice: versatility, groove, musicianship, and a deep respect for the character of every genre I perform.
